Import Plan — AI Assisted
V6 workflow: Upload a kitchen plan, analyse the drawing and cabinet schedule, rule-validate recognised cabinets automatically, review only exceptions, then approve before manufacturing data is generated. AI interpretation never overrides Woodology construction rules.
No plan selected
PDF exports are preferred. Detected cabinets will be mapped to the Woodology cabinet library and flagged for confirmation where confidence is insufficient.
Job Setup
Kitchen mode — standard cabinet library and kitchen construction rules are active.
Start here. Detailed material names, sheet sizes and profile settings remain available in Advanced Mode.

These settings affect costing only. They cannot change the cabinet dimensions or OptiCutter export.

Drawer systems
Production check: these are editable planning defaults. Confirm the exact supplier product code, runner length and drilling instructions before releasing drawer boxes to production.
Branded metal-box systems add hardware and labour only. Wooden-drawer profiles can generate MFC drawer-box parts for OptiCutter.

Ironmongery library
These are your ordering defaults. Product codes, suppliers, pack sizes and costs are editable. Drawer-runner codes are linked to the selected drawer profile.

Production check: profile values are editable planning rules. Confirm the exact Häfele/Blum/profile fitting drawing and supplier code before cutting doors or ordering rail.

Bespoke Furniture Builder
Wardrobes / media walls / TV units: enter the finished external cabinet size. V5.6 uses the Woodology furniture construction method automatically: top and base full width; sides between top/base; carcass panel depth = overall depth minus the depth allowance; shelf width = overall width minus 36 mm; shelf depth = carcass depth minus 5 mm; 18 mm back applied to the rear. Doors/fronts can be entered at exact sizes.

Exact doors / fronts

Add exactly the front sizes you want. These dimensions are not recalculated by the cabinet engine.
Bespoke Extras & Accessories
Add plinths, top infills, fillers, scribes, end panels or any custom panel at the exact cut size. They flow into the same cut list, costing and OptiCutter export.

Manufacturing Rules Manager
These job-wide rules feed front calculations, machining and production checks. Automatic handleless deductions are enabled by default; disable them only for an intentional manual exception.
Uses the selected Gola profile deduction.

Machining & Routing Standards
These are Woodology defaults. Standard cabinets inherit them automatically; only exceptions need a cabinet override.
Uform Ordering
Exact-code workflow: Uform order lines must use the exact product code from the Uform price list. A line with no verified code is clearly flagged and cannot be mistaken for a confirmed Uform item.

Integrated Grain-Aware Cut Optimiser
Fixed sheet-grain nesting: the whole sheet grain runs in one direction. The optimiser may rotate a physical panel only when that rotation preserves its required grain relationship; it never rotates the grain independently of the panel.
Sheet grain runs left to right along sheet length.Every grained panel on the map uses this same sheet direction.

Production & OptiCutter
Locked export rule: every standard Woodology panel is exported with its intended grain dimension as the first dimension. OptiCutter therefore receives h for standard parts. A deliberately horizontal-grain door/front receives v.
OptiCutter: import only the files ending OptiCutter_SHEET_PLAN.csv into a Sheet/Panel Cutting Plan. Edging is shown in the separate printable workshop report below.
↔ Across cabinet width    ↕ Top to bottom    OptiCutter: h = Lengthwise, v = Crosswise

Grain test: standard parts must export h; only a deliberately horizontal-grain door or drawer front exports v. Material-group values are deliberately blank.
Export safeguard: blank CSV files are blocked, and the exporter and validator now share one grain rule.
v3.5 export stability: one CSV per exact material name; no material-group matching; stock grain and panel grain use one central rule; panels that cannot fit the selected sheet are blocked before download.
